WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

  • Environment day is celebrated worldwide on 5th June to create awareness among people about protecting the environment. The first-ever Environment Day was held in 1973. Environment Day acts as a platform that helps create awareness about various issues that have adverse effects on the environment, like global warming, overpopulation, pollution, and crime against wildlife. The environment plays an integral role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem we live in. Rainbow Residential Public School also joined hands in celebration of World Environment Day on 5th June, 2022. The chief Guest for the celebration was Prof. Rajashekhar Chakki and addressed the gathering by concerning on the environment and motivated the children saying the responsibilities to protect environment for the future. Prof, S.N. Kattimani, Dr. Suresh C T, Smt. Lalitha Suresh, Trustee Members of school and principals were also a part of this celebration. Students of various classes participated and celebrated world environmental day enthusiastically. They were asked to plant a sapling to create a green corner. A lot of enthusiasm was seen in the students. The event was conducted successfully with whole hearted participation and awareness about plants. Children of class 9th organized the celebration. Kumari Akshatha anchored, Kumari Lakshmi welcomed and Kumari Rakshitha proposed the votes of thanks.
